Dive into the universe like never before!
With our innovative sonification techniques, we bring space closer to you. While the vastness of space remains silent, we've transformed its wonders into harmonious sounds, allowing you to "hear" the cosmos.
Learn More!Why Sonification ?
Sound cannot travel through space, so we rely on light waves to determine distance. Sonification illustrates the light waves in a visual and auditory experience. Sonifications give a new experience to the visually impaired and auditory learners. NASA’s Hubble Telescope has been used to create sonification using the brightness and position for pitch and volume and represented as musical notes. In the same way, NASA uses Hubble, Team Sonic Sounds began the data collection with the PARI radio telescope process of sun waves and the reflected light waves of the moon to demonstrate similarities in wave patterns.
Utilizing advanced instruments, we've gathered 3D "hyperspectral" data from space. This data, richer than what's visible to the naked eye, is then converted into musical notes and sounds. Each layer of sound represents specific wavelengths of light detected by telescopes like the Hubble Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory. The result? A harmonious blend that lets you experience space in a symphony of sounds.
